Work permits involve a coordinated
effort between the Safety Officer and the various
supervisors who will inspect and investigate the
work place before any job activities start. |

The objective is to detect the
presence of work hazards, their nature, to minimize
or remove exposure to unsafe conditions and to provide
the means for a more economical and efficient work
operation. |
|
|
After identifying the type of
work permit needed, request for permit will be submitted
by the craft supervisor and a permit issued by the
Permit Authority if acceptable prior to start of
work. |
