| Safety
Meeting |
|
|
A minute Safety talk for each
group will be held once a week on a day designated
by the Safety Officer, who will preside. All employees
involved will attend. The theme of the meeting shall
be taken from: |
1. The Client Safety
Manual.
2. Accident and injury occurrences.
3. Topics relevant to present work in progress.

|
A five minutes safety question
and suggestion period will follow the meeting. |
|
|
When required a five minute
safety meeting, presided over by the crew supervisor,
will be used prior to start of work to review the
safety aspects of a specific job. |
|
|
| Safety
Orientation/Indoctrination of New Employees: |
|
|
The Safety Officer will coordinate
with the supervisor in charge to conduct new employee
safety orientations prior to the start of their
work. The Safety Plan, work site requirements, the
nature of the work, the type of hazards involved
and the precautions to be taken will be discussed. |
|
|
New employees will be advised
of the consequences and penalties for failure to
comply with the Safety Program established by Najran,
including Client requirements. |
|
|
| Inspection |
|
|
Daily inspections by Safety
Officer of both the work site and camp site will
be performed to ensure that correct safety practices
are observed and to check for possible hazardous
conditions that may exist. |
|
|
Follow-up inspections for corrected
safety violations shall be performed by the work
area Supervisor to assure completion. They will
be responsible for the safety of each employee and
for the protection of equipment under their direction. |
|
|
Weekly inspection throughout
the entire jobsite will be conducted jointly by
a Safety Committee Member and a Loss Prevention
Member. Any unsafe condition discovered by these
inspection will be promptly corrected. |

|
| Injury
Treatment/Mode of Transport |
|
|
Najran will utilize the Client
first aid facilities and attendants where available.
When required Najran will provide its own facility
and attendants. |
|
|
Injured employees will be transported
via the safety officer or supervisor's vehicle if
treatment is required at a clinic. |
|
|
Serious cases will be transported
by ambulance to the nearest hospital as required. |
